    My Xbox has been frozen in remote play


    Recently, when I booted up my Xbox,

    I tried to turn on my controller,

    and the controller LED light just keeps flashing,

    I tried to turn off the power strip,

    But it didn't work.

    I tried everything but to no avail,

    I also turned off remote play as an attempt

    To fix it,

    And now I can't use my phone to fix the issue via remote play.

    That's why I need help.

    What are the solutions to fix the issue?

    Are there a way to fix it?

    Please inform me,

    I eagerly await your response.

    @A Frozen Poo I already own a Playstation Vita. It'a a wonderful little system. I'm actually looking forward to "Remote Play" a lot, so that my Fiance can still watch her TV and I can still play my PS4.

    Why won't Backward compatible games play remotely?

    I've been trying to find answers to this, because up until this point, I HAVE been playing back-compat games on my Xbox through remote play on my PC. I was surprised when I finally tried remote play on my phone that games I've been playing remotely on PC for a while now didn't work! In fact, every game I've tried via PC so far has worked. Thought something was wrong with the setup on my phone, but I guess they just aren't supported on mobile for some reason.

    Hey there. Try unplugging everything and wait a few minutes extra. Unplugg your harddrive too. Plug it all in and come back and let us know if that helped.

    Figured it out: You have to sign out of xbox life and back in. On a new note- my game has been frozen in black screen for 20 minutes.

    Xbox Remote Play locked to 720p resolution with poor bitrate?

    This has less to do with the streaming capabilities of the Series X and more to do with the fact that even when using remote play locally the Xbox is routing traffic through the Azure datacenters which makes absolutely no sense.

    If you don't believe me go use remote play on an Xbox One X and it does not have this issue when using remote play locally.

    All my consoles are LAN and my PS5 has no issues outputting a 1080/60fps stream locally.

    It is a glaring issue that has been raised across a number of different forums online and it makes no sense.

    Has less to do with folks internet setups and more to do with bad decision making from MS
