    my xbox game clips are gone, but not my screenshots, can I get them back somehow?


    I switched to computer and haven't used my xbox in a while but when i went back to use it all my clips were gone, probably around 100. But my screenshots aren't gone only my game clips. Also when I try to see them in my xbox app on my phone, it says I have no game clips and haven't set up a console yet, and when I try to set up the console by logging in to it with my account as it tells me to, it says something went wrong. I have 2 problems, my game clips are gone, and i cant access them from my phone. I have so many clips that I like and funny moments please help me get them back, thanks.

    I have a similar problem too, I can take screenshots, I can record clips, but my problem is that I cannot save my captures from before I got Xbox Gold. Clips I can save if I edit them in Upload Studios and record clips now but I cannot save the old ones
    through Game DVR. Screenshots I can only save if I took them after getting XBox Gold not the ones I took before. Is this a bug?

    Nearly all of my game clips and screenshots are gone what happen and can I get them back PLEASEEE?

    I remember getting a notification (I don't have a link to prove) that game clips and screenshots are going away, and I should back them up or something like that.

    I cannot be sure if it was Xbox or some other gaming service. Perhaps, something like that happened to your account. If It's gone, I don't think there is a way to recover though.

    Almost all of my game clips and screenshots are gone what happened? Can I get them back immediately?

    After 90 days, they are deleted. It's always a good idea to back up your clips and screenshots asap.

    No on the factory reset and I don't have any issues with saving new clips/screenshots. I don't believe I'm in the XB1 Insider program how would I find out?

    Thanks for the info, if you were, you'd have access to the Xbox Insider Hub and would have registered through that. Is your console fully up to date with the latest dashboard release?

    Here's how to check

    1. Press the Xbox button on the controller to open the guide.
    2. Select Settings > All settings.
    3. Select System > Updates.

    If there is an update, you'll see the option to Update Console.

    Yes my console is up to date but I did double check, I got a msg stating 'No console update available' So I was reading about whats new with update and a couple days later I could see all my screenshots and game clips. I did some research and it seems to
    happen at random. All your thumbnails disappear and become inaccessible.
