My Xbox friend list isn't refreshing, is there a way to fix this issue?

" I think your console might need either a network reset or just a system refresh. I would like you to go through the following steps to clear the Mac address and then perform a quick power cycle on your console:

Settings > Network Settings > Advanced Settings > Alternate Mac Address > Clear it and the console should restart. It would definitely help if you could restart the internet router while the console is restarting.

After going through the troubleshooting steps mentioned, I invite you to perform a quick power cycle by turning off the console and then unplugging all the cables. After 2 to 3 minutes, re-plug them back again, then restart your console.

Another thing you should check is your settings. I would like you to please follow the instructions below to make sure that your settings are adjusted to "Keep my games & apps up to date":

1. Press the Xbox button to open the guide.

2. Select Profile & system> Settings > System > Updates.

3. Under Updates, select Keep my console up to date to update your console automatically, and Keep my games & apps up to date to update games and apps automatically.

In case the issue still persists, the next step would be to perform a reset on the console. To do so you will need to follow the steps below to perform a reset on the Xbox :

Settings > System > Console Info > Reset This Xbox > Reset and Keep my Games and Apps.

This happened to my friend and he fixed it by recovering his gamertag. It essentially "refreshed" the image and it displayed properly to the peeps on his Friends List.

Is it possible that there is an update to your Xbox One console as well as the Xbox App on iOS and Windows Phone? Are you using the Xbox App or a BETA version of the app? When you say you did a hard reset of the console, did you mean a power cycle, or reset
the console to factory defaults while keeping your games and apps?

Good to know the problem isn't something on my end. My son has no friends on his friend list on his xbox only. (If signing another gamertag on that xbox same issue.) However when he signs onto his sister xbox everything seems fine. Hope this gets fixed
soon .

I am not aware of a way to trigger a refresh, the resent player list is instant like your friends list showing when they are online etc.
