    My Xbox elite controller shut off randomly and won’t charge


    I was playing on my Xbox when randomly my Xbox elite controller **** off and I spent 20 minutes trying to find ways to make it turn back on but I can’t get it to turn on even with usb cords that work and I tried the same usb that I had plugged into my Xbox elite and it works on other controllers so I would like to know what the issue is.

    Hi Rion, my name is Joel, I'm here to help you with any problems or questions you may have.

    Rion, the controller should turn on at least when connected via the USB cable, if it doesn't it means that there is already a hardware problem with it, even more so when you try other controllers and the USB cable and they stay on.

    Try connecting that controller to a PC using the USB cable if it doesn't turn on either, I'm afraid you should try to place a service request for your controller from the link below

    Why did my elite controller stop working on my Xbox and won’t turn off or do anything even when I unplug my Xbox

    My console is the Xbox series X. My controller stopped working last night while I was playing a game and it said reconnect controller but it was still on. I’ve tried holding the pairing button but nothing happened. I’ve tried taking it out of range of my Xbox to see if it would shut off. I’ve tried restarting and unplugging my Xbox. But my elite controller still has the light on and won’t do anything. Even the button to change paddle presets isn’t turning those lights on.

    I just got in an Elite Series 2 controller with the same issue. it is not removed from the devices list but still does not reconnect to bluetooth when disconnected from USB (charging/accessory app). The status light (xbox home button) just flashes slowly. It continues to do this until it shuts off or I delete and pair the controller again.

    side note: elite controller is fully updated

    My controller will randomly shut off

    Mine didn't do that untill I got the update now it happens every 20 min. Its unbearable I want this fixed or I want my money back I cant play any games for more then 20 min. At at time before it shuts off and then I lose or die and stuff
