    My Xbox controller won't stop scrolling up on certain apps


    The controller works perfectly fine while playing videogames and using most apps. On the home screen it is very sensitive and jumps around a lot but does not get stuck in any direction but for some reason whenever I open hulu or the game store it just instantly scrolls up and won't let me select anything

    Yes, I have. Unless theres a certain setting to just stop xbox app noises. Like when I scroll through the xbox to pick an app, the scrolling sound is still there, just not the sound of actual apps, game sound, etc.

    It sounds like you have the same problem I experienced with my Elite controller. There is a control module that senses the position of the joystick and I'm learning online the Microsoft Xbox controllers are notorious for these modules failing. Depending
    on the severity, it can make the controller no longer usable. My call just now with Microsoft support ended with, "Please post your problem to the forum as your controller is no longer under warranty." It is less than a year old and now I have a $150 paper

    I believe it is my controller too. However that doesnt explain the constant scrolling on the xbox app though does it?

    Do you mean on the Edge App?

    If using your controller you won't be able to adjust but if you connect a mouse to your Xbox you'll see a noted improvement.

    If you're on Windows you can adjust your mouse scroll speed.
