My Xbox controller will turn but the buttons and analogs will not work

Does this happen if you connect it via a USB cable as well?

Please, reset your controller pairing.

To unpair it, press and hold the pair button on top of the controller for a few seconds until it vibrates twice.

Then, pair it again.

Turn on your controller by pressing and holding the Xbox button.

Press and release the Pair button on the Xbox.

Within 20 seconds, press and hold the controller’s Pair button a circular button on top of the controller as you hold it in your hands) until the controller's Xbox button flashes a few times.

That means it's searching for a console.

The Xbox button stays lit once it's connected.

This happened to me just the other day. I turned on my xbox as I usually do but none of the buttons on my controller would work, and yes my controller was indeed connected to my xbox. Only the home button would work as it would bring up the turn off controller
or turn off xbox menu. The analog stick would not respond and neither would any of the other buttons. I even tried multiple controllers. A simple hard reset fixed the issue and I have had no interruptions since then.

I up dated my controller the other day and all was fine, now the problem is this the controller will turn the xbox on but the analog sticks will not work or even any off the buttons un less I plug in the usb cable and everything works fine I have done a
hard reset on the xbox and even re connected the controller with the xbox, at first I thought it was the batteries being low so I changes them for brand new batteries but still no joy, when the guide button is pressed it only shows turn console off and not
turn controller off un less I use the usb cable and it shows both console and controller off any ideas as to what I can do next..ps I have 2 controllers and the other one that also has been updated works fine wireless....

I understand that you are having problems with the calibration of the X and Y axis of your left analog stick on Xbox One and Xbox Series Controller on a Windows 10 Pro PC.

Restart the controller: Press and hold the Xbox button for 5-10 seconds, until the controller turns off. Wait a few seconds and press and hold the Xbox button again to turn the controller back on

Check the batteries: Check that the controller batteries are not causing this problem. If the controller does not turn on at all, replace the batteries in the controller with new ones and make sure you place them correctly in the controller.

So, I was messing around with the drivers

The version 6.3 of it kind of works

Some buttons work, but the triggers, the analogs, the Xbox button and the vibration doesn't work

The *** Xbox Accessories app closed automatically during the update

I think the buttons got misconfigured

I should be able to reconfigure it using the app, but it won't recognize the controller
