My xbox controller refused to recognize batteries

controllers are recognized when attached with just the cable and the AA battery casing (without batteries).



There have been reports of fit issues with older battery packs and newer controllers. The new controllers not being recognized at all is somewhat odd, though. See if they work with the 360 via the cable without the battery pack (just use the AA pack without
batteries to prevent damage to the connector.

It's not that the battery is degraded. It is that the controller does not recognize being plugged in. But thank you.

@ Ice, yes they charge them with the 360...they also recieve power when plugged into the PC without batteries in them.

They do not however get recognized as a controller by the PC's (even without batteries)...almost like they arent real xbox controllers (which would be hilarious in the grand scheme of things)

Thanks ngocphi - my current gateway uses WPA2 and the XBOX refuses to recognize that.
