    My xbox controller keeps vibrating and turning off


    i have a really big problem that started around a week ago were my xbox series x/s controller kept on disconnecting every now and again and now its really bad were it just wont work anymore at all and it vibrates when turned on then completely turns off until i move the wire around were it repeats what it done before ive tried it on 4 different ports on my pc and 3 on my xbox even cleaning out every port using a different controller and 4 different wires and nothing works im so confused since it works with bluetooth to my pc but not wired and its the EXACT same for the other controller

    Update: Turns out vibration is turned ON for my system, but the controllers don't vibrate.

    So I guess the issue is really that when any controller is connected to my system, when it's supposed to vibrate, it turns off.

    For a Xbox 360 controller, I think it is not possible to turn off vibration on general. You will need to enter each game settings and turn off vibration there. Usually all games have a setting to turn vibration on or off.

    You could use the Xbox Accessories app to turn the vibration off but it is not compatible with Xbox 360 controllers.

    If controller vibrations are distracting or make it hard to use your controller, you can adjust their intensity or turn them off completely.

    To change vibration, download the Xbox Accessories app from the Microsoft Store. Then, plug in your controller, open the app, and select
    Configure.

    • For an Xbox Elite Controller, select the configuration profile you want to change. Then select
      Edit > Vibration and move the sliders to adjust vibration settings.
    • For the Xbox Wireless Controller, select Turn on vibration to turn controller vibration on or off.
