My Xbox Controller is unresponsive when using the right thumbstick up or down.

Hello Maddox, you can try the procedures below, if it does not return to normality, the ideal would be to send it to Microsoft if it is still under warranty.

First remove the batteries from the controller and for 1 minute keep pressing all the buttons on the controller and moving the knobs.

After you're done, plug the USB cable controller into your console and turn it on.

Then clear the cache on the console and check if the control has any updates to be made.

1. Go to the Xbox press and hold the XBOX power button on the console for 10 seconds until it turns off

2. Wait 10 seconds until it turns off

3. Wait 1 minute with it off

4. Turn it back on

After the console restarts and I'm at the console start screen, put the batteries back in the controller, remove the USB cable and see if it back to normal.

Hold down RIGHT thumbstick, then move LEFT thumbstick UP and DOWN to adjust the camera.

My right thumbstick randomly started drifting to the left, making my character spin counter clockwise. Also when I try to look to the right my character will look but then its like the thumbstick disconnects and my character will stop looking to the right,
even though I'm holding the thumbstick to the right. This exact same thing happened to FOUR of my Xbox 360 controllers. I have never dropped a gaming controller so I have no clue why this happens. I hope Microsoft has a solution or will at least refund me
my Xbox one controller.

Well what more do you want from the controller? They are limited to the buttons available to the controller to map each each action. As I said before, the de facto standard is to have the crouch/prone button on the same stick to aim with most FPS. As lama
said in your other thread concerning the R thumbstick, it was used in BC2 and you had no problems with it? Everybody has the same game yet everybody has a different controller. The design may be the same but there could be some manufacturing defects on some
controllers when they mass produce it.

Also, how is the Right trigger and pushing down the Right thumbstick connected together? When you click/use each button/stick, a signal is transmitted through a single dedicated wire that then sends it to your xbox. Your reasoning of having the Right Thumbstick
and Right Trigger being on the Right side of the controller is just absurd.

My only "issue" with the right thumbstick is that I initially wanted to control my beams and other projectiles with the right thumbstick (Using the Wizard or Demon Hunter). Other Xbox games I've played use the right thumbstick to control the camera or direction
your character is pointing so it took some time to get used to and from time to time I still make that mistake. I can agree that it was a bit awkward at first, but I think useless is a bit too extreme.
