    My xbox controller is acting like a mouse.


    Hello, My xbox one controller is acting like a mouse for some reason, When I use the right thumbstick it moves the mouse, When I press RT it clicks, I have tried restarting my computer, I have tried disconnecting and reconnecting the controller nothing works.     go to the installed drivers in device manager, in the control panel, and delete the control driver, restart your pc, and when you start, connect your control again.

    This isn't normal behaviour. By default your controller should not be acting like a mouse.

    This is caused by a third party application. If you're a PC gamer and have Steam installed (which would be the vast majority of PC gamers), you may have enabled the controller for use as a mouse in Steam settings.

    Go to Steam > Settings > Controller > Desktop configuration

    If looks like this, you've got the joystick mouse enabled.

    Change the setting to None and close the Window down. This will remove the controller as mouse input.
