    My Xbox controller Elite series 2 doesn't update to the latest firmware via Xbos Accesories...


    Hi, I'm having an issue with Elite series 2 controller, upon trying to install the latest firmware version via Xbox Accessories App to see if it solves some issues I'm having with it (It disconnects every 3 minutes or so while playing wierlessly) it remains with 5.17.3202.0, claming there are no updates required, but I know there is a newer firmware version from my other controllers the 5.20.... . I tried unninstalling Xbox Accesories App and the controllers, I even tried getting the update from a different PC but it was no good.

    Firmware version 517.3202.0 is the latest firmware version available for the Elite Series 2 controller. So your controller has the latest firmware available.

    Don't forget the Elite Series controllers use a different firmware than the other controllers, because it has different features to the standard controllers.

    im on firmware 5.11.3118.0 for xboxc series S controller - latest, been on for weeks, before the problems with constantly disconnecting & reconnecting to the console after the latest console update about 2 weeks ago.

    tried the controller firmware rollback via xbox assist, when you check the firmware it just says something went wrong - its on the latest firmware.......

    Yes I mean Xbox Elite 2. I isolated the issue using it in a series S, same audio problem. Controller updated latest firmware.

    Just bought a new Xbox Elite Series 2 Controller yesterday to use it with my PC.

    I have exactly the same issue and I don't even have an XBox to connect it to so the firmware can get updated.

    And the Xbox accessories app doesn't update the firmware no matter what I do, there's just no option there to install the latest firmware.

    Damn, Microsoft. I spent 150 euro for a gear that's supposed to be premium! Why does it feel like I bought a cheap Chinese garbage?

    It is 10am 27th of October - where is the promised driver and the promised Xbox Accessories App?

    Addition: I found the app on the windows store but when I connect the XBO controller via cable it just shows me that there is my controller and doesn't give any further steps to update the controller's firmware!
