My Xbox cant conect to the internet but my router is working

Hello, today I opened my xbox and it said it wasnt conected to the internet but my router was working. I tried to play fortnite but it didnt let me so when I tried to play rocket league it let me play the game. My xbox has xbox live gold and when I tried
to go and watch youtube it said I didnt have internet. I tried to restart my router and my xbox but nothing happened. If you know what I can do please respond.

Thanks for reaching out to the forums. We see you are having issues with connection. Would like you to try and clear alt mac address. To do this go to Settings>General>Network settings>Advanced settings>alt mac address>Clear and restart. Let us know how
this goes.

iv tried every single suggestion to connect to xbox live but nothing, any good suggestions. iv not been able to connect for 2 hours. my internet is working just cant conect to live

Here's the weird part, I tested the Xbox Live Connection, it said that the conection failed between my internet to Xbox Live and that it was my router, when I go and play Castle Crashers, the connection between my internet to Xbox Live is working again.
What do you think is a great router to have? The guy I spoke to at Xbox Support over a month ago said that I should get a Netgear N600

when i conect to cable modem i have the best games on my life then when i conect to router i have games where i cant even get kills not even one right now i just use the modem and i went 18 and 5 but other people in my house use wireless so if i keep using
the modem it blocks them off from the internet and blocks me off from using my lap top there something wrong with my router dont know what it is
