My xbox app wont open and I do not know what to do

There are a few steps you can try to troubleshoot this issue:

Step 1: Sign out all accounts signed in your PC including the one that you're trying to sign in on your Xbox app.

Step 2: Run the troubleshooter for Windows Apps on your computer by clicking the Run troubleshooter button on this link. This process will check and resolve common issues with the apps on your PC.

Step 3: Click on this link for the steps to perform a clean boot. This process will start Windows by using a minimal set of drivers and startup programs. This helps eliminate software conflicts that occur when you install a program or an update or when you run a program in Windows.

Step 4: Reset the Windows Store to clear the Store cache.

Press Windows key + X on your keyboard.

Click on Command prompt (Admin).

Type wsreset.exe, and then hit Enter.

Step 5: Uninstall and reinstall the Xbox App to update it.

Click Start, and then type Windows Power Shell on the search box.

Right-click, and then select Run as administrator.

Type the following command to uninstall Xbox app: Get-AppxPackage *xboxapp* | Remove-AppxPackage.

Hit Enter.

Launch the Windows Store and download the Xbox App.

Step 5 is the one that usually most effectively solves this issue, so please give it a try! And after doing it, reboot your PC!

I have done all of this and it has not worked

Now my microsoft store and xbox app do what my minecraft was doing. App crashes as soon as i open it.

Had this happen to me but all I had to do was a reset and it worked fine.

Not sure what the issue could be since though, or why it didn't work for you.
