    My xbox app will not launch


    My xbox app will not launch, it shows a black window with the xbox logo in the middle and automatically closes after a minute. I have tried all trouble shooting steps given to me by the live "chat with a gamer thing". The app was directly installed from the microsoft store. Those steps included:
    - repairing the xbox app
    - repairing gaming services

    - repairing xbox services

    - clearing microsoft store cache with wsreset
    - reinstalling gaming services and the xbox app

    additionally, when downloading the xbox app, it downloads very slowly despite the app being very small. I have tried switching wifi networks to no avail.
    I really just want to play my gamepass games, that's the only reason I want this app. What can I do?

    I am sorry to hear it.

    Have you tried to run a system scan?

    Open the Terminal window by pressing the Windows Key + X and Select "Open Powershell as Administrator".

    Type this command: sfc /scannow

    Press Enter.

    If any error is found, they will be patched.

    Then use the DISM command.

    Open the Terminal window by pressing the Windows Key + X and Select "Open Powershell as Administrator".

    Dism /Online /Cleanup-Image /ScanHealth

    Dism /Online /Cleanup-Image /RestoreHealth

    Restart you PC.

    If that still does not work, please, do a clean boot and test the app.

    Press Windows Key + R > Type msconfig > Select Services > Check the box Hide all Microsoft Services > Select Deactivate All.

    Restart your computer.

    Let me know if it works!

    I'm having the same issue. Actually, last night it appeared one time for me. I went to netflix.com and added some stuff to my list. Launched the app on xbox one and my list was there. launched the app today and my list is gone again.

    Can anyone help me with my xbox app not installing/launching games?

    I've tried to install apps from Microsoft store like whatsapp and they have installed and launched perfectly fine but when trying to launch a game that was installed on the xbox app like dragon ball fighters z it pops up with the error code 0x803f8001.

    Hi Samy,

    I'm logged in correctly to the Xbox Console Companion. I can actually launch my games from there and play games as expected. However, when I launch the Xbox App from the Xbox Console Companion I am still not logged in to the Xbox App and cannot install new games or play games from the Xbox App.

    How to stop the EA App from auto launching with the Xbox App since the latest update?

    This doesn't work. It's already unchecked.

    But then again, the MS rep obviously didn't read the question properly. The issue isn't the Xbox App launching on Startup. The issue is that any time you launch the Xbox app, it automatically launches the EA app too.
