My xbox app only says checking for updates

hello my xbox app only says checking for updates at all times. I have talked with quite a few people and their advice such as repairing/reset xbox app, gaming services and windows store haven't worked. Also logging in and out and uninstalling and reinstalling havent worked either. I was wondering if anyone else has ever dealt with this issue

That is correct it should be in NTFS.

Okay i can try it, when you say backup files do you mean i should create a restore point?

What would the proper steps be to format the C: drive and what should i format it to?

Thank you for your response and my sincerest apologies for my delayed response.

It seems you have exhausted all the troubleshooting steps yet the issue still persists.

I have resolved a similar issue before, the gamer had decided to reformat the C: Drive where the Windows was installed then proceeds to download the Xbox app, and then game downloads worked normally.

Kindly do the same however before you proceed with your reformat, make sure to back up your files.
