    The app is unopenable after its asks for gaming services to be downloaded. I have not used the gamepass on pc for awhile and it worked fine before. I created a restore point to where the trouble starts when I download the required gaming services. When I do it says something to like install problems saving location is wrong. After the install I restarted the pc and then its just keeps opening for a second or two then stops without giving an error. It acts like its loading fine and it even shows in my processes as running and no issues. I have tried several methods and troubleshooting from every known source on the internet, but it doesnt change the app from loading. My system is good and have plenty of space and memory. Ive tried the cmd and powershell actions and its states that my system runs fine. I can even play ms solitaire without any issues. I am dumbfounded with this and have never had an issue with any programs opening on this pc. I believe that is something simple but I am at the point where the requested gaming services update is needed just to be able to open the xbox app and now Im stuck. Just want some ideals on ways to see why it is asking for the update in the first place. I was playing a pc game a month ago fine, but since then I have reinstalled windows11 due to issues with windows itself. I dont know if it was removed or just needs an update, but everytime I do the install of gaming services it doesnt even open the app. I like to play a couple pc games but mostly use my console. I feel that's its unfair to pay for a service and cannot even use it. I never had any issues with windows10 and want to go back if I cant even play a pc game with my gamepass.

    I truly appreciate your wanting to help. Its just a software problem caused by MS not you, thank you for trying.

    I have tried that option. Everytime i uninstall the service I can open the app, then I make sure all xbox programs are running and it updates fine. Then I get the preparing for game to load or download and its does not do anything. When I close the app it then goes back to not opening. The only thing I can see when I can open the app is an issue with location where the apps are and there is no option to look to where its located. I had in the past used my ext ssd to download games. Never an issue until they updated the services. Now I have just deleted everything xbox related apps and will contact MS when I can get a chance and will not be paying next month for services that I cannot use because it happened when they came out with the new updates. If its not broken then no need to mess with it as my father used to tell me. He just recently passed and I was unaware of this issue and didnt have the time to play on pc. Now that I have only a few moment to play, I cant. This is put my faith im MS products on my **** list. I plan on changing my OS system to run on anything not MS. Windows 10 was perfectly fine until they decided to make money of a product that was taped together and unnecessary just to say hey New program more Money.

    If there's nothing pending, kindly right-click the Start button on your taskbar, and then select Windows Terminal (Admin). In the Administrator: Windows PowerShell screen, type the following command and press Enter:

    Get-AppxPackage *gamingservices* -allusers | remove-appxpackage

    Restart your PC then try again.
