My Xbox App Cannot Turn On My Console

I have the exact same problem. I updated my Xbox to the latest update and connected it to the internet again so I could stream games to my laptop outside of my room. I loaded into the app and attempted to stream my
console. I could turn on the Xbox remotely however it cannot connect.

Thank you for your reply, you can only manually set instant-on from you Xbox console. One way of connecting your PC to your console is by going to use game streaming in the Xbox app.

I'm quite confused by your response. It's as if you aren't reading what I'd provided or maybe not understanding at all.

I am using the XBOX App on my PC. In the past while using the App on my PC I would select the 'connect to xbox' option, and there's an option to 'Turn on' the XBOX. This used to work, and now doesn't. I have to go to my xbox and turn it on, and then the
App see's the xbox is on and I can begin streaming.

So, my issue is that the 'turn on xbox' option in the XBOX App for the PC doesn't work.

When the 'turn on xbox' option in the xbox app for the PC doesn't work I get the following error:

"We can't turn on your console. Make sure this device is on the same network as your console and your console is set to instant-on."

Because the error stated that I needed to set the console to instant-on I made sure to check and configure my console as such. To be clear: instant-on option on the XBOX Console is 'ENABLED'

Now the error also states that I need to check that the console is on the same network. It is! The XBOX Console and my PC are hard wired to the same network switch.

I have similar issue.

What doesn't work:

• Remote Control from Standy On : Cannot touch Xbox button or Turn On Console to truly power on the console.
  
• Remote Play from Standby On: Cannot connect to the console, even though the router can find the console connected to network, can ping to the console through router console.
  
• Game management: cannot install or uninstall games
  

What does work:

• Change console name: using Xbox app to change console name, the updated name reflects on Xbox app Beta, Xbox Game Streaming (Test app) for PC. This means the apps still be able to connect to the console, sending signal to the console.
  
• Remote play when Powered on: remote play/console streaming feature can be used only and if only the console is turn on, with the Xbox button on console lighted on. Work on both External and internal networks => not related to NAT(Open type) or Remote settings because all testings give green status. ==> However, having the console turn on directly in-home or having someone at home to turn on the console for me is not the point of remote play. The console is supposed to be turn on in background for remote play from External network!
  

This issue should be fixed before anything else!

I can like my friends' post on Xbox console companion!!! But I cannot do this anymore on Xbox app. Sad!

I am seeing this on the Xbox app when my console is turned off. When I turn my Xbox on it still says I'm playing the game. When I check my recent activity it is the last game I played before turning off my Xbox
