    My xbox and PC are incorrectly identified as being in a region that doesn't support...


    Both the Xbox app on windows and my series X tell me that cloud play is unsupported in my region, which is not true. It stopped working about a month ago and my friend living in the same town has not encountered this issue. Connecting to my mobile hotspot did not fix the issue. I thought it may be picking up a signal from Ireland, but cloud play is supported there as well.

    Hi, I hope you're doing great out there. I am an Independent advisor and I am here to help you with your concern.

    If you're physically located in the UK that shouldn't be a problem. Is your mobile hotspot and home router using the same provider?

    Kindly try a different network connection if you have one and a different provider if possible.

    the error means (from what I can tell) is that your DVD drive doesn't have the anticpated firmware on it. when upgrading to the latest dashboards, the update flashes your drive to a new verison, but if the drive is identifying itself incorrectly, it will
    give this error.

    you should give XBOX support a call.

    Hey there.

    It sounds like the region of your account may be set incorrectly. Be sure the region of your Xbox One is set to your physical locale, as cross-region accounts aren't supported.

    I can now download the games from xbox.com.

    According to support my account was setup as uk, but for some reason my physical location was being incorrectly picked up as being in the US.

    I can now download via the online store. However my console still flatly refuses to let me directly download wither the xbox one or xbox 360 games. I have tried changing my region on the console to USA and back to UK, but this makes no change.
