My Xbox account was banned within a week of purchasing an Xbox console.

I am a 39-year-old gamer. I bought a new Xbox Series X on December 17, 2023. After getting XSX, I played Call Of Duty Infinite Warfare (Xbox360) and Advanced Warfare (Xbox360) multiplayer for a few hours with a feeling of nostalgia. On 22.12.2023, I received an email from Microsoft stating that I violated Community Standards with my Xbox account. The email did not say what I did wrong. When I went to the Microsoft website, I saw that my account was suspended for 15 days and I received 5 penalty points. I objected to this sentence, but it was not accepted. After my objection, a second email arrived. In this second e-mail, it is written that I have done something against the rules. I don't think I did anything wrong. My guess is that someone reported me collectively in the multiplayer game (but I don't talk or message anyone) or my payments was detected as a suspicious transaction by the system because I bought too many digital games in a row. I make my game purchases with my own bank cards. It hasn't even been a week since I bought the Xbox Series X console and a Xbox wireless headset. After spending so much money on Xbox and gaming headset, why should I do anything that would put my account at risk, not even a week later? This doesn't sound logical. I have been using PS, Nintendo Switch and gaming PC for years and have never experienced anything like this. I experienced something like this less than a week after purchasing the Xbox.

You don't need to speak or message anyone.While comms are probably the most common reasons for enforcement actions they are not the only reason you can get banned.

Like i said,my guess would be you've ended up in a modded lobby on one of the older COD games & even though it wasn't intentional it's still enough to receive a suspension.

It's the main reason most people avoid those games nowadays.

I've been playing games for nearly 30 years, and this is the first time I've encountered such disgrace. I have been using Ps4, Ps4Pro, Ps5 respectively for about 9 years and have never experienced anything like this. I have been a PC Steam user for 17 years and I have never experienced anything like this there either. Now I understand better why Xbox was less successful than other consoles. If you are doing this to a 1 week old Xbox user, you have a problem.

You say you were playing the older (360) COD games so my guess is you wound up in some sort of modded lobby.

Unfortunately it's well known that the devs don't police the older COD games & this sort of thing is quite common.

"Mass reporting" will not get you banned & it doesn't matter how old an account is,if you are caught breaking the rules then you will get banned.

As your appeal was denied then there's nothing else that can be done.
