My Xbox account thinks I'm somewhere else. .

About 3 months ago certain apps on my Xbox series X and S started giving me a "not available in your region" error. Starting with the Rewards app then a few weeks later the game pass app would not let me claim for completed quests then the quests disappeared from the app about a month later along with the EA play games section. Last month the cloud gaming ceased to work. Any attempt to get help from Xbox support was met with "oh your using VPN" even though I pointed out several times I don't. Checked with my internet provider who checked my connection and could find no problems. A search of my IP address shows my location correctly. My Microsoft account location and Xbox region selections all match.

I advise you to make the following configuration in your console.

Press the Xbox  button to open the dashboard.
Select Profile & System > Settings > System > Console Information.
Select Reset Console.
Choose "Reset and Keep Games".

It is very important to make this configuration because it corrects several types of errors that are happening in our console.

Tried that but no luck. Had thought of doing that not long after the errors began but since I was having the same problem with both my series X and series S i had ruled that out as the problem.

With my limited knowledge i thought it to be a network or account problem. My internet provider ran checks on my modem and can see no problems, i have fully reset the modem and a location check on my IP address gives me the correct region.

I have contacted Xbox support several times and they have dismissed it as me using a VPN or proxy server (i dont use either) and now i dont even get a reply from them.

I would change your login details to see if that will clear things up. If somebody else has your login details, they can cause some real problems and even get your account banned.

Is your account on someone else's console. If it is and they have the login credentials or it is set to log in automatically then it will sign you out when they log you in. Let us know. Good Luck!!

Agreed. I wish they'd acknowledge a problem here. I'm very careful online, don't sign up for random things or click links in e-mails (especially the junk e-mail accounts I use for things like Live) etc. so I definitely was not phished. My info was compromised
somewhere be it MS, EA or somewhere else linked to the account (can't think of anything else that would be linked up unless my hotmail just got hacked--but Live is the only place I've had any fraud issues).
