Since you have already submitted a request, it may take a while for them to reply. Possibly due to the high volume of requests they receive on a daily basis.

Should I be hopeful that they will get my account back for me? Because I feel like i've exhausted every option possible to get it back and so far it's been to no avail. I will keep trying different combinations on the verification form in the meantime, however I'm fairly certain that the information I am providing on the form is correct. thank you for your response, i'm praying I can get it back as I have invested so much time into this account.

Let's still hope that this will work. For the time being, I would suggest checking your inbox, spam, and junk folders regularly just in case you receive a reply from Microsoft regarding the reinstatement request.

As promised, feedback when it works. I was on hold for about an hour before I got connected to a help desk employee, but the chap on the other end of the line was very helpful and was able to see that my account indeed had a lock on it due to suspicious
activities. This lock has been removed, and I'm already happily gaming online

Did you have two-factor authentication (2FA) active on the account? If you do have the 2FA active, are you able to access the second factor of authentication? If so, please try resetting your password. Important: The account recovery form can only be used if two-step verification isn't turned on.

Microsoft takes account security very seriously, that's why Account Recovery is an automated process with no human influence. If you don't have the correct information, you may not be able to get through account verification using the Recovery Form.

The Account Recovery Form requires adequate information to prove that you are the owner of the account. The Account Recovery Process can be a time consuming process, but providing as much info as possible from the start of the process will increase the possibility of being verified by the automated process. You'll need to keep trying until you're verified by Microsoft.

Remember to use a familiar device from which you've frequently accessed your Microsoft account, as well as a familiar location. Microsoft will review your responses and respond within 24 hours. If you are verified, instructions on how to log back into your account will be sent to you, and if you are not verified, you will need to submit the Account Recovery form again. You can do this up to 2 times every 24 hours.
