    At 8pm last night (AEST) my account was logged out of my Xbox One Series X. I logged back in with the same email and password that I have always done and it proceeded to ask me for my gamer tag which I entered. It then stated that my account name was valid and assigned the my normal gamer tag with #6968 and now is treating my account like new. I will state that at no point have I requested my account be deleted, changed, renamed.

    My gamer score is reset to zero, my account is 12 years old. When I log into games that I have paid for there are no ingame purchases no cloud saved games. On games like Diablo 4 and Bethesda’s Fallout 76 and 4 my account is no longer associated as it is looking for my old account not this proxy. There skins in Minecraft I have purchased but with this new account, that i never set up, i have lost everything.

    The email address is the same, the password is the same. When I log in to my xbox profile on line I can see all my purchases dating back to 2010.

    The impression support halved given me is that this can not be rectified and that my account has been permanently deleted. How can this happen when i have not deleted it. Is there an actual person I can talk to? I keep going over the same details with support however there is no real tangible assistance. I have spent thousands on games etc that I no longer have access to to enjoy.

    I need help… is there anyone, a real person, at Microsoft that can rectify this issue.

    Can you see your achievements, friends and real gamescore?

    Logging into your purchase history shows your orders?

    If everything appears correctly on those websites, your problem must be visual and temporary. When there is a gamertag change, it can take a couple of days for it to be reflected and for the entire Xbox platform to recognize the change and associate the information with the new gamertag.

    I am not sure how it happened. I already had a Microsoft account. When I got my xbox I created an account and got a gamer tag while setting up my xbox. I signed up for xbox live from my xbox using my existing gamer tag and Microsoft account. I then went
    to xbox live and signed in using my Miicrosoft account, and for some reason when I did this a new gamer tag was created and associate to my Microsoft account. So, now when I log into xbox live I see one gamer tag. But on my xbox I have a different gamer
    tag.

    I am having the same problem for weeks - gamer tag is . I have been on with support for hours and they have basically washed their hands of it. I can't see or use my account balance on xbox one only and only with respect to this gamer tag.
    It works fine on 360 or on xbox one with another gamer tag. Any idea if our accounts will be fixed?
