    When I had first gotten my Xbox One I had made my account on the console itself during setup. Fast-forward a few months when I was trying to sign in to the Xbox companion app on my phone I typed in my email and password for my Xbox account and it sign
    me in to a different account with the same email and password, as if I had just created a brand new account, when I went to check my account on Xbox it said that the login information was the same as the login information as the one for the Microsoft account.
    It never really bothered me, but it just meant that I couldn't use any Microsoft service with my main account, every time that I would try to login to anything it all ways sign me into the 'new' account that I never use, I even tried adding both of the account
    to the family feature to see if it would let me merge them. is there any way for me to sign into my Xbox account on any other device with out it logging me into the other one?

    right, I probably should of done that first. but still It's good to know if anyone knew anything about the issue I was having.

    Thank you for taking the time to post this on the Xbox Forums. We understand that you are currently experiencing difficulties with being able to use your account across multiple devices.

    There is a way to verify your email account on your console, you can even configure it to allow you to

    see it on your Home Screen    .

    Alternatively, you can launch the Microsoft Edge app while you are signed in on your account on your console, and review the info on your
    Microsoft Account. This will allow you to sign in automatically to identify exactly what is the difference between these two accounts of yours.

    Cloud Storage: Per Console, or Per Account?

    We each have our own separate gold accounts, which is why it confused us to see that accessing the cloud storage shows the exact same amount of storage space, with the exact same amount of used storage - and here's the clincher: MY saved games appearing
    in the storage, whether I'm logged in to my account, or she's logged in to her account.

    The Microsoft account and the Xbox account are basically one in the same. There is no separating them. If you wish to have separate accounts, then one of you will have to start from scratch with a brand new account.
