    My Xbox 360 won't read my Grand Theft Auto V copy!


    So today I went on xbox to go play GTAV and the disk was already in the tray so I powered on the console and my xbox took forever to load the game then gave me a message saying Unrecognized Disc. After many tries to fix this solution it eventually worked
    like thirty minutes after. Please Help, I've tried the clearing system cache thing and cleaning the disc. I've also tried to have my xbox read all my other games and they work but not GTAV.

    Even if you have already tried it, just do it again.

    Are you having problems playing other games/dvd's? If so, it could very well be your DVD drive going bad. I have had a similar problem.

    All of my games work fine with my xbox its just GTAV that my xbox has a problem with

    Are you able to test the game of yours (GTA V) on another console? By friends or family?

    Are you also able to borrow a GTA V disc from someone else and try to play it on your console? If the game of yours work on another console and the game of your friend or family doesn't work on your console, then it's proberly a disc
    Drive issue    .

    If these steps doesn't work, I suggests to
    request a repair    .

    Digital Download cost more than retail hard copy!!!! REALLY!!!

    It just seems hard for me to see how they can justify charging more for a virtual copy of a game then compared to a hard copy.

    E.G. GTA V for a hard copy £42.99 www.game.co.uk/.../grand-theft-auto-v-301143

    for XBL copy £54.99 store.xbox.com/.../4f0a3089-ba2c-4f3d-9e38-102a41cbd885

    Its not as if GTA V is a newly released game but you still have to pay full price for the virtual copy.

    Destiny is another example.

    Yes as a customer it will save me storage space and if the disc gets damaged I won't have to purchase a 2nd copy. But then company data bases and virtual storage can get corrupted or hacked causing loss of customer data.
