    My Xbox 360 Wireless Receiver suddenly stopped working.


    Today it showed as "Unknown Device", so I tried updating the drivers. Then, it again showed as "Unknown Device", still not working.

    I chose which drivers to install, which were the "Xbox 360 Wireless Receiver for Windows", but then again, it didn't work at all. I've tried restarting my computer, changing the USB port, etcetera. I really don't know what to do.

    I've been using the receiver with my old Xbox 360 controller for years, and now I can't even get my laptop to recognize it as a receiver instead of an "Unknown Device"

    P.S: I've been trying to find the different versions of these drivers, but I can't find them anywhere. I know they exist, but they aren't on my computer and any links I find were either replaced by other Microsoft links or maybe just straight up deleted.

    You have done all the right things to get it working. It suggests to me that the receiver has broke with age.

    Do you have access to a different pc/laptop to see if it works on that?

    Я так понимаю, у Вас Windows 10? Попробуйте удалить последнее установленное обновление системы или загрузите систему в безопасном режиме и выберите "загрузка последней удачной конфигурации". Вполне возможно что проблема связана с последним системным обновлением.
