My Xbox 360 kills my Internet(?)

Not sure if this is actually the case or not. When I launch my 360, I am able to play for a while, but after that while, the wireless internet goes dead. Not just the connection to Xbox Live, the ENTIRE thing goes dead. What's worse is that we have some weird extension internet connections. Basically like this:

Before:

(Connection Name)

(Connection Name)-5G-1

(Connection Name)-5G-2

After:

(Connection Name) / Non-functional

(Connection Name)-5G-1 / Fully Works

(Connection Name)-5G-2 / Fully Works

Some family members have the 5G-2 connection on some devices so some people don't notice. The 360 doesn't showcase the other 5G connections, but my Series X can. (And no, the internet doesn't die with ANY other game console like the 360.)

Lately I've been trying to complete a non-backwards compatible game and all I have to do is finish the game's hardest difficulty, but I can't play the whole thing before the internet dies. And of course a family member sleeps in the room where we have the router.

Is this a Xbox problem or an internet provider problem? If it is the Xbox, how do I fix this? If not, what should be my plan to prevent this from happening?

Sorry to hear you are having issues. The first thing would be to fully power cycle the console if you have not done so already. Next I would be trying the console on a completely different network. If its still doing exactly the same with an unrelated network, it would point to the console.

I have my XBOX 360, my friends brought over theirs, now no XBOX 360 connects to the internet. Not a single XBOX 360 can connect to the internet at my house.

I cannot connect to the internet on my Xbox 360, and when I login on the computer, everything is fine. This is my problem. My Xbox 360 will connect to my network but will not gail internet access.

It depends on how fast your internet connection is. The internet explorer with my internet speed can almost keep up with my laptop. The Xbox 360 and Xbox 360 slim are going to operate at the same speed though

Press the Guide button on your controller, select Settings, and select System Settings.
Select Network Settings.

Select the name of your wireless network when the network list is displayed.

Select Configure Network.

On the Additional Settings tab, select Restore to Factory Defaults. When prompted, select Yes, Restore to Factory Defaults. This resets the console's network settings only.

Restart your console.

You will receive a message to configure wireless settings. Follow the on-screen instructions to connect to your wireless network.

Test your network connection again (Settings > System Settings > Network Settings > Wired Network > Test Xbox Live Connection).

**If that didn't work try a different network, could be a mobile hotspot, or cable network
