My Xbox 360 E doesn't detect my flashdrive.

My xbox 360 will not detect my PNY 128GB usb flash drive all of the sudden. I have been using this drive for at least 5 years and never remove it from the xbox 360 E. It has all of my progress on it and several games. When the drive is plugged in, nothing
changes in the "Storage Devices" section of "Settings." What steps do I need to take to access my data or to fix this issue? Thanks.

Have you check disk?

Fyi usb drives do die and 5years is the usual limit for constant storage

Each time its uses its deteriots

Usually mechanical drives have better life spans

Oh ok. Is that specific to XBox One because on my 360 I always saved my games to a flashdrive 8GB large?

I would just suggest investing in a new HDD drive at least a 20GB or a USB/Flashdrive that is configurable and store most important dada(updates) on that. I don't own a slim, but my best guess is to have more storage capacity and maybe your xbox will detect
it.

This is great....Malifax technical hotline did not have anyone pick up the phone.....

Can't even do software updates via flash drives...I tried using 2 different flashdrive and the console did not detect anythg...

My Xbox experience is totally screwed.....

I don’t know what the problem is. I’ve reformatted the flashdrive, I’ve made sure that my gameplay recording are set to record to the flashdrive, the setting in power options is turned off as is recommended & I even reset the console & still sometimes the gameplay recording saves to the flashdrive & sometimes it doesn't.
