my xbox 360 console is stuck on the system update stopped screen, i can't even access my dashboard and this started when i was updating it using a usb since i don't have a hard drive so i used a usb as a hard drive unfortunately the usb got damaged during the update process, so now its showing me the staus code: 4476-4497-B680-0F00-C000-0034, can someone please help me i have tried downloading an offline update file which is about 110 mb but still it doesn't update or remove the update screen to its default format what should i do in order to reset it to its original format since i cannot access my dashboard incl settings and other

You will need to try a system reinstallation.

Do you have another USB drive you can use to copy the update file?

Make sure to remove your console from the power outlet for 1 minute or so to clear it's cache, before plugging the USB for the system reinstall.

Then, please, follow these steps:

Plug your USB flash drive into a USB port on your computer.

Download the update file:

https://www.xbox.com/system-update-usb

Click Save to save the console update .zip file on your computer.

Unzip the file.

Copy the contents of the .zip file to the root directory of your USB flash drive (for example, E:\). Do not copy the contents to another folder on the USB flash drive (for example, E:\Files).

Unplug the USB flash drive from your computer.

Plug the flash drive into a USB port on your Xbox 360 console.

Plug it in the power outlet and tun it on.

When the console restarts, the installation program starts automatically. When prompted, select Yes to update the new console software.

What happens if I don't live near one? I'm stuck on the factory reset console setup screen and whenever my connection states it's good it just reverts back to the step before it. If it tries to update through the initial setup then something will go wrong
with the update. I'm stuck in a loop. I can't get back to the home screen/dashboard anymore.

I'm also getting stuck at a black screen after the update. Twice now I hard rebooted after I let it sit at the black screen for nearly 20 mins. Now my xbox is stuck offline because it needs to update. Can't even check registration status on the preview
dashboard or opt-out because I need to be signed in. Hopefully this gets fixed soon because this thing is utterly useless without xbox live...

I just bought an xbox 360 Pro still sealed in the box. It has the 1st original dashboard which means I can't install games and access my digital content.
Unfortunately the 360 is unable to detect my wifi adapter. Is it possible to download the update onto a thumb drive then physically apply the update to the console?

Would this be the official Xbox 360 wireless networking adapter?
