My xbox 1 s isn't connecting to the hdmi cables.

If you don't mind, I'd appreciate it if you could answer the following questions.

- Is this a regular Xbox One S, or the All-digital Xbox One S?
- Besides the power cord and HDMI cable, do you have any external devices plugged into your console?
- On your screen, do you see "No signal", "Input not supported" or a similar label?
- When you say it won't let you reset it, may I ask exactly what you mean?

To be honest this isn't one of my strong points so I headed out into the Interweb to learn some things about the differing HDMI standards.

I believe the Xbox One S supports HDMI 2.0a with support for HDMI 2.0 possibly coming sometime in an update, so whether that is causing some communication issues between the Xbox and TV I'm not sure.

I wish there was more I could offer personally in the way of help, I suspect you have tried a different HDMI cable, the cable provided with the Xbox isn't always the best cable to be using.

HDMI cable is NOT the problem. Connected my 360 S via second HDMI cable - worked for awhile - then did the same thing (short loud hum then silence). My console had been working fine for over 1 year and now a repeat 2 days in a row. A/V cables work fine.
Firmly believe this is a xBox 360 console HDMI Port related issue.
