    My Xbobx Will Turn On But TV Won't Recognize It


    I have an Xbox One S barely a year old and my TV cannot detect it anymore - the console itself turns on, but nothing is displays on my TV and my controllers can't connect to it.

    I have tried swapping the HDMI cord, changing the TV I put it in, switching the outlet the power cord is in - and still nothing is working. I can't find anything online, but would really appreciate some help. I have also tried doing some of the refresh button
    combinations to see if that would help - it didn't.

    Does anyone know what might be wrong or how to fix this?

    Just to clarify. When you changed the HDMI, did you make sure the SOURCE, using the TV remote, was set to whatever HDMI port you're using on the TV? HDMI 1, 2 etc

    Tv won't work on my xbox one.

    After the update my Vizio tv can no longer be controlled or turn on/off by the Xbox One. It was working fine before 5 he update. It won't let me set it up like before since Xbox recognizes my TV.

    Also it may use hot list of words based on situation, meaning it won't recognize on when the box is already on. Most TV's would would toggle power off as the ir command is usually the same for both. Maybe try turning tv off and leaving the xbox on then
    speak the commands to turn the xbox off, and confirm with a yes. If that turns your tv on then it's your pronunciation or cadence.

    I'm having the same problem. My TV is not recognizing the xbox one thru hdmi but it recognizes the cable box and computer. I've tried different hdmi ports on different TVs, it's not working properly. Somehow the xbox one can still turn on and off the TV.
