    My xb1 spectra pro controller suddenly stopped working

    A couple of days ago I felt like playing a game when I suddenly noticed that my controller wasn't really working. The controller itself lights up as It usually does but I couldn't use the controller in-game. If you press the xbox logo on the controller, It usually sends you into steam which It didn't this time. I tried going in to the xbox accessories app and to my suprise the controller worked. I looked up stuff on youtube about the controller not connecting and I saw that I had to go in to the device manager. I went in and saw a yellow icon on top of the device icon. I right clicked and checked the properties which said the following "Windows cannot load the device driver for this hardware. The driver may be corrupted or missing. (Code 39) " I immediately thought that it would be a pretty easy fix by just right clicking and updating the device driver but, no. I was later told to go into the registery editor and find a folder containing UpperFilters or LowerFilters. I didn't find any of those in the folder that was shown. I have tried uninstalling the device and restarting the PC after uninstalling it many times and I am just very lost. I am not sure what to do next since I don't really feel like buying a new controller right now. I'd gladly appreciate some help with this problem!

    Hello @antxnio!

    With issues like these, we recommend updating the firmware of your controller as it might be the cause of the disconnection.

    I have not validated the version of firmware, but I know it suddenly stops working. To update it, I plug the controller in and update firmware. I do this for both controllers. Then it will work for a couple of weeks and suddenly stop.

    Having the same problem, updated bluetooth drivers, controller firmware and all latest windows 10 updates. Everything works for a few minutes in Overwatch or Eagle Flight of example then suddenly everything starts responding very slowly or not at all.

    Just picked up the new XB1S bluetooth controller, updated FW with the accessories app (ver. 3.1.1215.0). Playing Witcher 3 and all seems fine for around 15 minutes, then controller suddenly stops responding during dialog choices. I have to quit the game
    (using key/mouse) and then the controller re-connects and seems ok.
