My volume sounds wierd but I don't think it's my headset

So I was playing Grand Theft Auto with one of my homies then, my game glitched. I couldn't hear my friend, a little after I could hear him but, it sounded funny. A while after I see both of my controllers turn on for like 5 seconds then it shuts of. That
was the second time that they'd shut off. I've had this since 7/21/2019. Half a year. Brand new. Not even a year old. Why? I restarted my xbox and I tried everything. Weird. Most important part: HOW exactly do I fix it? Is this normal? Do I tell amazon?

my controller stopped turning off and I have it where it should automatticly update it doesn't usually have an update. Can it be cause of my internet tho???

Hey there, so I would definitely try a few things here. Make sure both controllers are fully updated with the latest firmware for starters. Same thing for your Xbox console itself. Now since the game glitched which may have caused this, I would also do
a hard reset (while the console is on, hold the power button for 10 seconds) and if you have the time and there’s no issues with data cap on your Internet, you might want to re-download The game just in case a recent patch could’ve been the trouble that caused
this whole mess to begin with

Sorry, but it was the headset. I plugged it in to my computer and it sounded weird. So sorry about all that. But don't be sad 'cuz I got a free return thing where I can get a new headset.
