My voice cuts out on Kinect during streams using the Twitch app (Xbox One)

Hi,

When I am using my Kinect as a microphone to talk to viewers who are watching me stream using the Twitch app I noticed that my voice "cuts out" for lack of better wording. I watched my previous streams and while in the middle of talking it will almost
sound like I am walking away from the mic as I am talking, i.e. my voice fades away until it can no longer be heard. Then my voice will come back for a few moments and then it will fade away again.

I did a test stream with my headset instead of using Kinect and there were no issues. I clicked on "Kinect doesn't hear me" in the settings and after the sound test it said everything sounded fine. I even switched my ethernet cable (this was before
testing with the headset) and still the same issue with my voice over Kinect. My voice seems to work fine over Kinect if I am vocalizing commands to my xbox or if I am playing the free game Voice Commander which is a voice command heavy game. What could be
causing this during my streams?

Using webcam with twitch on xbox one?

Alright. So does anyone know how i Can use the webcam on my labtop as a video feed/face cam for my twitch streams coming straight from the twitch app on my Xbox one? and No I dont have a kinect

 

KINECT QUESTION CAN I USE PORTABLE HD CAMERA ?

Hi have the xbox and only use it for voice commands some times i stream on Twitch.My question is the new XBOX ONE slim when it comes out can i buy just a portable web camera with mic ? like u can you buy for a PC build computer or Lap top so i can stream
on twitch some times whihc i dont do alot. would it work ? or would i still have to use the Kinect ? also is it possable to on xbox one to stream on Twitch with out Kinect ? Thank you.

 

Can you please try holding the power button on the console for 10 seconds until it shuts down to see if the issue continues after doing that?

 

Hi onyx62is. I did this and I am still having the issue. Does it matter that the system was on Instant On mode?

 

It shouldn't matter. Can you try heading to Settings>Disc & Blu Ray and click Clear Persistent Storage 3 times then hold the power button until it shuts down again? Then unplug everything and let it sit for 5 minutes.

After that head to Settings>Kinect and rerun the setup. See if that helps out a little.

I tried what you said and when I watch my recorded live stream on twitch my voice is still cutting out.

 

Sorry to hear it. I have checked the support pages to see if there is anything listed for your issue but was unable to find something. I would recommend contacting phone support to see if there's something they can do to help with this as all I can find
