I had 4 security proofs and it still asked for more at sighn in! I deleted all but 2 now because it was less secure.My sons hotmail account(another "fine"microsoft product) was hacked and they changed his password.They used that to access his xbox account.So
now he is locked out of his prepaid year of live.live support was useless!!!!! My son spent months entering randome words till amazingly he guessed it! So more security proofs are DEFINATLY more doors to enter.once you are in you change the locks.

ok. so I've added my sons gmail account as an alias. if I make the gmail primary how does that effect the Hotmail account & how I log in to my laptops? can he log in to his xbox with the gmail (& see his gamertag & profile) & can I log in to my devices
with the Hotmail address?

My son theo313 uses his XBOX everyday. He turned it on Monday 5th November in the afternoon and his gamertag was not there. The memory on the hard drive is there but not the profile. We asked as to whether it had been suspended/banned but this has been
confirmed, via forum 15 that this is not the case. We have tried to access the email associated with setting up this xbox. We cannot acess it at all and fear it has been hacked. .

Please can you help me with the following:

1. Why has my son lost his gamertag (theo313)?

2. How can I get it reinstated with a hacked hotmail address?

3. How can I get another email address associated with his xbox when I cannot access the hotmail account used in the initial set up just over three years ago?

Please help as I at a loss how I am going to resolve this.

His windows account is the hotmail account. Which means that he doesn't remember it. He doesn't know the password, secret question, or anything about the account. He can't recover it because he doesn't know anything about it, he didn't care for it. His G
mail isn't used for any xbox account. Therefore, he can't sign on to it unless the over protective people give him his account info. His Gamertag is Fearless x757. He had the account for a year, and the account email he made for it was hotmail, and he doesn't
use hotmail. It asked him to make a hotmail or live account, he couldn't use his gmail. So, please, tell me something I don't know.

So my younger son just needs to be logged into his xbox and then my older son needs to go to his settings and make his Xbox home? or does my younger son control all of this and he can make the switch here?
