My sons account on Fortnite got hacked

You will need to go through the Microsoft Account recovery process by following this link: Recover your account (live.com)

Please type his email address in and click onto show me more verification options. You will need to do this until finally you see "I don't have any of these". This will take you to a form which you will need to fill out and verify whether you are the actual account holder.

best thing to do when you get the account back is not let your son have the password, he most likely shared the account details with the other person as this is what happens most times.
