My son was suspended today for 7 days.

First of all, just reporting someone won't get them suspended.

Every time someone reports your son, the consoles involved will collect data and telemetry, and send that in along with the report as evidence.

A real life human being from the Enforcement Team will then review that evidence, and based on that will issue a suspension, or disregard the report, if no violations can be found (with a "trust penalty" given for the player giving a false report).

To get more details about the suspension, you can go to
https://enforcement.xbox.com and depending on the age of your son, you need to sign in with your adult parent account to which your son's child account is added to, or sign in with your son's account.

Then click on the yellow/orange tile with the hammer on it, to review the list of suspensions. Then you can click on the active suspension to get more information.

If the suspension was issued by mistake, you can file a case review after 24 hours have passed since the suspension was issued.

Hi, it sounds like you would like more control over his xbox account. That is dependant on age but Microsoft has lots of tools in place to enable you to do this and they actively encourage it. None of us want our children to be in these circumstances.

Giving away your XBox in response to your son very likely doing something to warrant a suspension won't solve anything. Reach out to the MS Enforcement Team for additional information.

Sorry for your issue. When your son got an ban that means that he must write or say to the other Player which Was against the ToS or CoC. You could go to enforcement.xbox.com and check if the case is open to an review. If its not there is nothing you can
do. Normally you would get a message on the account which got the ban. You could check that for information too. The Enforcement Team checks every report they got. There is no ban if the gamer has done nothing wrong.
