My son was signed out of his xbox profile and can't find it. How can I recover this?

I want to clarify, is his account removed from the console? If yes, we may need to find the Microsoft email address that he may have used. Methods that we can use are trying to sign in to https://account.microsoft.com/profile on a browser on his phone or PC/Laptop if there is and hope that the account is auto-signed in.

I'm having the same issue with my son. He can't sign into his xbox live user name. Only the adult profile can sign in. It says to go to xbox.com and sign him in there, so once I signed on there then what?!? There's no help and no easy way to find out.
Its very frustrating. I understand all these updates but everytime it happens my son has problems signing in. This is getting to be beyond ridiculous. If anyone can help that would greatly appreciated.

Try the following options below and see if it helps.



1. Check if your son's profile is still associated with the Xbox Live account. You can do this by logging in to the Xbox Live website using the email address and password associated with the account.



2. If the profile is still associated with the account, try signing in to the Xbox console using a different profile and then sign out. After that, try signing in again using your son's profile.



3. If the profile is not associated with the account, you can try recovering the account using the account recovery process on the Xbox Live website.

Go onto the Xbox and sign out of any account you are currently signed into, then hit the start button. You should see an option that says: "Download Profile" . Select that and try to sign in using your son's account information. If it is successful, it will
recover the account and it will be back on your new xbox. If you can't remember the password then try to recover it on this website.

Hi, I just got the xbox one with COD Ghosts. There is my profile and my son's, i was thinking we could progress separately through the game.

However, when my son was playing he got signed out and the code above resulted.

Because of this he lost all his progress and it seemed whichever one of us is signed in the game has reset to my checkpoint.

Can someone clarify how the profiles work especially when kinect is involved in signing people in and passing the controller? Thanks.
