My son was permanently banned on our family account, please see details below.

We have had a main Xbox account for over 15 years and all our games are purchased on this account. My son who uses the account was permanently banned for poor language that his friends "reported" him on. They didn't understand the consequences and he had no idea that a forever long ban could occur.

I only found out about this after 3 months when my boys asked for a new game. My son must have applied to be reinstated but it didn't work.

Is there anyway that I can communicate with anyone on the Xbox Enforcement Team? I am just now picking up the pieces and I am not a gamer so all of this is new to me.

I feel bad, I had no idea this could occur nor did I do good job understanding how this works.

Any help would be appreciated.

My son is 12 so he doesn't get the process. I was hoping to get in touch with someone, this seems awfully harsh to ban a kid forever.

Submitting a case review would be the only way to contact the enforcement team. If your son already submitted the review and they denied it, there is nothing else that can be done.

Technology isn't my thing but it does look like there's a problem with the enforcement site in that the links don't work on it. My advice is to try and speak to the general Microsoft support people because although they couldn't see the details regarding the ban, they could see that my son's 'permanent' ban is due to end on the 19th.. Hopefully they can offer you the same reassurance..

Permanent ban

"We don't take permanent bans lightly, and these types of suspensions are only issued after a thorough investigation is completed to determine that a severe violation of our Microsoft Services Agreement and Community Standards for Xbox has occurred on the service."

As Enformcement is an offline department that works in conjunction with Microsoft it will be very difficult to get some clarification here in the community of what happened to have led a permanent ban.
