    My son trys to play free games from the xbox store


    So my son has his own xbox and he would like to play games on it but when he goes to the xbox store and downloads it that all works fine but when he clicks the app to start play it never gets passed the initial loading screen how can i fix this? When i sign in to My Account and click the game to get it to play. It works just fine.

    upgrading to xbox digital

    so i would be better letting my son have the xbox digital as all the games he plays are on game pass or free games ive got stored on my hard drive already, thanks for replying

    Minecraft Xbox One Edition free upgrade?

    I have the same problem on my son's newly purchased copy of Minecraft Xbox One Edition. The problem is he can't play the game without downloading the FREE! update. But it's not free when you get directed to the Xbox store. So frustrating! How can we get
    around this? otherwise we'll be bringing it back to the store for a refund.

    The disc-based version is no longer being updated. If you bought a used copy of the game, and the store allows you to return it, I would do so, then buy "Minecraft" digitally from the Microsoft Store.
