My son is unable to sign into his Minecraft account. How does he find his details?

Unfortunately, with the prepaid card, it's basically impossible to find the account of your son.

Does your son have so many e-mail addresses that he can't remember which one he used? He might try to find the email address used for his Microsoft Account with this support page: Forgot
the Microsoft Account Email Address for your Xbox Live account? Learn How to Find It.

After he found the Email, he can reset/recover his password here: https://account.live.com/ResetPassword.aspx

After signing in with his email, his Gamertag account will automatically show up on his console.

So assume im an idiot!

So My son should sign into my daughters xbox, using his account details and set her xbox as his home xbox. Then my daughter should sign into my sons xbox using her account details, and set his xbox as her home xbox. And i should buy the game on my sons
account and they can share?

My next question is , as you only get 5 resets a year of your home account. Does this mean my son will lose access to the games he shares already, that are on my account? So he’d have to switch back to share with me again?

Hi, Yes this is how we understand it, but now my son believes he would not be able to play his games on his box if his account in signed in on the other box so I can play his games. He thinks that one account can only be signed in on one box at a time
as part of the rules with xbox account use. So to be safe he just does not play on his box if I his account is signed in on mine along with my own account. He said a few times in the past when he tried to play his box, the system would automatically sign him
out on the other. So it's very strange...Thanks for your help!

Does it matter who installs the game? Me, my oldest son, and my youngest son all have different accounts but we belong to the same family account.

My oldest son uses the Home console and signs into that console with his own account. My youngest son has his own console and signs into that console with a different account. If my oldest son installs the game on the Home console will my youngest son be
able to see the game on his own console while signed in with his account? Or does my oldest son have to sign on to both consoles?
