I'll see what Black Friday deals they do on the series s 500gb (the same one he has at home) and then go from there - If I have to upgrade my own PC pass to ultimate down the road, then so be it, but the Xbox I get will never ever be used by me - Just the 8 year old for an hour or so at weekends

I dont know how exactly its been setup. Basically my son bought the console for the 8 year old to use at home, and got the account. He knows the login, but I'm not sure if its in my Sons name or my Grandsons. Probably in my Sons name, as he is the Dad, but the account is for the use of the child.

I'm not trying to 'beat the system' at all. Just wanted to make sure that he could still play the games he likes at home, when he is over here too.

If the Ultimate is on your grandchild's account, then that won't be a problem.

If it's on your son's account, then your grandchild would not be able to access it on the console at your house.

Xgu is good because you can access cloud gaming.
