    We do not have xbox. He does Minecraft on his apple air and his iPad. We have a family account but it's telling me to have him send a new request so it won't even set up properly. I've tried multiple ways and the whole system is time consuming and frustrating. He also can't do multiplayer on Minecraft due to the family settings.

    - how does he send a new permissions requests so we are linked?

    - how do I change the settings so he can have multiplayer on Minecraft?

    I got my Son an Xbox and Minecraft for Christmas but we do not have a HD TV does this mean he cannot play multi player at all??

    how do I link my Live gold acct to my sons profile (HE IS ON MY FAMILY LIST) so he can play multiplayer games????

    Hi, I hope you're doing great out there. I am an Independent advisor and I am here to help you with your concern.

    I would like to clarify, is he added as a member of your family group which is on https://account.microsoft.com/family? If yes, you can simply sign in to https://account.xbox.com/settings, and from there make sure that these settings are set to “allow” or “everyone” for his account:

    * You can see and upload community creations

    * You can communicate outside of Xbox Live with voice & text

    * Others can communicate with voice, text, or invites

    * You can play with people outside of Xbox Live

    * You can create and join clubs

    * You can join multiplayer games

    Make sure to hit “submit” when you made any changes.

    I have purchased microsoft jave for my child but it will not allow multiplayer

    Thank you for your response, I should have added more info.

    I have a microsift family account for my son, he has an xbox account attached as he has a nintendo switch with minecraft and we needed it for multiplayer.

    I have ticked allowed in the xbox account for multiplayer and clubs under his profile, yet it is still asking for me to allow multi player in microsoft settings.

    I am lost!!

    We do have a family account. I read through the links provided but I do not see anything that would keep my Minecraft join requests from getting to my son on his Kindle Fire. I don't know why he cannot see that I am on-line. Any other thoughts?
