    My son can hear his teammates but they can’t hear him?


    We have Xbox one and playing fortnight,

    1. I got new headphones ‘Turtle beach Recon’ and

    2. enabled the voice chat with friends only

    3. Enabled ‘Push on talk’ while configuring the Push on talk button to be A

    4. I went into the Xbox sound settings and in speakers selected the headphones , the top 2 mic related were then greyed out

    I’m not sure what else left to do? help?

    Using the A button for push to talk is a bad idea, it's one of the ost used buttons on the controller and may be the root of your issue.

    Which Turtle beach recon did you buy? is it the Xbox version?

    Are you playing on an Xbox Console or a PC?

    If he's using a console, please, run the audio setup tool.

    Press the Xbox button on your controller to open the guide.

    Select Profile & system > Settings > General > Volume & audio output.

    Select the Audio setup option under Advanced.

    Highlight the audio setup option you wish to use and then press the A button to begin the audio test.

    Hi it’s Xbox series X the audio is working in so far as he can hear others it’s just his friends can’t hear him. We have tried what you suggested but this appears to be do to with speakers. Thank you

    On the audio testing, did his microphone work?

    Please, power cycle the console to clear its cache data and try again.

    To do it, follow these steps:

    Turn off your console by pressing the Xbox button on the front of the console for about 10 seconds, until it shuts down completely.

    Unplug the console's power cable. Wait 60 seconds.

    Important Be sure to wait at least 60 seconds. This step resets the power supply.

    Plug the console power cable back in.

    Press the Xbox button on your console to turn it on.

    Let me know if it works!
