My SIXTH "Elite" controller broke this evening

I was playing Overwatch and my character (Bastion) kept healing himself, even when I wasn't pressing the button to do that (the left trigger). The left trigger constantly registers it's being pressed even though I'm not touching it.

These controllers are utter GARBAGE. I've been gaming since the 1970s and have owned at least one console in every generation. Outside of Xbox One controllers, I've only had one other controller develop an issue, which was an Xbox 360 controller that had
YEARS of use on both the 360 and PC. I'm yet to have an Elite controller last a year before it breaks.

What's worse is that there are various failure points. Grips peeling off, LB/RB buttons snapping off, triggers breaking, directions on the D-pad just stopping working.

If MS do bring out a version 2.0 of this product then there better be a focus on quality.

my 1st elite: crash gumi grips. send back to service, but i buy a new one for this 2 week. Try this new: right stick drift to right...

ok, my 1st elite came back, try this. left stick drift to right (fresh new controller from ms service)

ok i sent back this 2 broken Elites.

1-2 week done, get 2 new fresh Elites... tested... both new Elite's (my 3rd and 4th) left sticks drift to right...

my last 5 Elites broken, 3 fresh from Xbox Support. Thats a big joke.

Did you purchace the controller from the xbox store or from a physical location and how long have you had it? It souds like your controller has suffered mechanical failure. If your controller is still under warranty then you should
be given a new one. Unfortunately some xbox controllers are notorious for mechanical failure but as I mentioned if it's still under warranty you should have no trouble getting a new one.

Hope you manage to resolve this.
