    It just seems to be running harder to the point where i feel very uncomfortable. Its as if I got a downgrade.

    Example:

    -Playing destiny 2 while talking to vendors.

    -Flight simulator was unbearable to play

    -Bless unleashed was also very loud and unbearable

    Notes:
    -While i'm in a menu or if i hit the guide button the fan slows down significantly.

    -I have tried both upright and side positions, for the most part its always been in the vertical position

    -Ive tried a can of air on it.

    My friends who also have a series X told me they have not heard their fans run that hard or even at all.

    I'm sorry for the inconvenience this situation is causing you. If your fan is not working properly or running harder than it should be, there could be hardware issues. We do recommend to get it repaired. You can set one up on device support.

    Hello, My name is Jesse. I'm an Independent Advisor and a member of the Microsoft community and I'd love to assist you today.

    I'll recommend you do a power cycle to clear the system cache

    - Turn off your console by pressing the Xbox button on the front of the console for about 10 seconds, until it shuts down completely.

    - Unplug the console's power cable. Wait 2 minutes.

    - Plug the console power cable back in. Press the Xbox button on your console to turn it on and check if it's all good.

    If that doesn't help, I'll suggest you try doing a factory reset keeping games and apps on your console. This will refresh the console and remove all potential bugs without deleting any game data.

    - Press the Xbox button to open the guide.

    - Select Profile & system > Settings > System > Console info.

    - Select Reset console.

    - Choose Keep Games and Apps

    Once that is done, you'll need to sign into the console using your Microsoft account credentials. If the issue is with your console, that should fix it.

    I got my Series X at the start of June via All Access..it was the first time I'd seen the Series X in stock somewhere since they released. Then again, I hadn't been trying very hard as my One X was still quite new

    If he has a Series S/X and is trying to play a Series S/X optimized game, it will only run on the internal drive or on an expansion card made for the Series S/X. It won't run on a regular external hard drive or SSD.

    A normal hard drive or SSD won't work with Series S/X games. They can store them, but the games won't run from them. They will only run from the internal drive or an expansion card that is made for the Series S/X.
