My series x won't recognize wifi without power cycling

My series x will show no wireless networks when it is turned on normally. I will go to network settings and see no wireless networks despite having 4 normally in the area (apartments). The only way it will recognize wireless networks is if I unplug it completely and let it reset, sometimes multiple times. I have it set to shutdown in power options. The router is about five feet from the console, and gives no issues to any other devices including my wife's xbox 1. This feels like a hardware issue to me? Please help!

(I have power cycled the console, modem, and router)

Hi Janet,

The problem is still occurring. I still need to completely unplug the xbox from its power source and let it sit in order for it to see wireless networks, sometimes multiple times. For reference, going into settings>network>set up wireless network, no networks show up. After multiple restarts the xbox will see and connect to wifi.

In this case you should try a full factory reset with the same steps I gave you before, but now don't choose to keep games and apps, choose to delete everything. You also do not lose progress, purchases, achievements or any data.

Go to Settings>System>Console Information

And restart keeping your games.

Note that the console accounts will be removed, so you will need to have the email and password for each account to log back in.

Your progress, achievements, purchases and other data will remain intact, don't worry about that, you won't lose any data, the only thing you need to do is to log in again.
