My series x will not connect to wifi

It started a few months ago my Xbox one day I just turned it on to play and it wouldn't connect I thought maybe it was the wifi or something but after I seen everything else was working fine I got frustrated and turned it off then the next day it was fine well a month or so later it happens again so just like the first time I just turned it off and tried again a day later it was back up then couple weeks or so later it did it again this time the next day it was still not connecting so i left it off a couple of days I just left it off in hopes it would work again it started back working but I moved couple weeks ago and I tried to play it last weekend and it wouldn't connect so I checked everyday since and it will not it somehow forgot my network and won't accept the password it keeps saying check your password or name I'm looking at a pic of the router name and password so ik it's correct but it will not do anything and I'm frustrated and having a full time job I'm always busy or tired so I don't really have time to contact Microsoft and considering this is the first Microsoft console I've owned since the first 360 (to which I was one of the people that got the red ring of death) I'm honestly disappointed because I don't want a $700 paper weight can someone please help me

Hi there. I have tried almost every possible method of restarting, resetting and everything inbetween. Ports are forwarded, etc.

The thing is, I have my Xbox One and Series X set up beside each other. Due to the Series X’s problems, I can switch off my Series X, and switch on my Xbox One, and have no connection issues.

Both playing on the same wifi, both wireless connection, with all the same settings (except the Series X is running on 120fps).

Something is not right with the Series X and I believe it’s more than just needing to reset my MAC address...

The xbox series x/s is completely incapable of connecting to hidden wifi networks. There are various tricks/hacks people are using which may or may not work, but it is not supported natively.

I cannot connect to hidden wifi networks. It will not find my ssid when manually entered.

yes i have done all the above..if i have it connected via ethernet it is fne but when i go to use the wifi it wont work,,says console is connected but when i try to access my games says a connection error,,, does it on my series s and my xbox one s .. and a friends series x is doing it

Hello Joseph, sorry to hear you're having trouble with your connection.

First, please try powercycling the console by holding the power button on it for 10 seconds till it shuts down then unplug it for 5 minutes. During this time unplug your modem/router for at least 60 seconds. When the internet is back up and running try connecting again.

If that doesn't work then please try a factory reset on the console. There's an option to keep installed games and apps and your saves will be safe on the Cloud. Just be sure you know the email/password for your account before doing this.
