My Series X can't detect any wireless networks ps5 it is

So after 40 minutes of this stuttering support lady trying to blame home router for why my xbox doesn't pick up any wifi connections on scanning .

She finally concludes and so have I that it's the internal wifi connection in the xbox that's defective but what's worse she said my warranty is up that expired last month and said either you can be wired or pay up to get it repaired to .

I don't know why Microsoft thinks it's appropriate that they sent a defective system and the consumer should pay for it.

It's insane to me because from the old red ring of death days that was not something you had to pay for with the 360

I'm just letting off a rant because it's one thing if I caused the issue and had to pay up but it's on they're end warranty or not.

Bad service and all support, I'm ditching yall for the Playstation . Very ignorant tech company that's built on greed.

Hello BLADES, sorry to hear you're having trouble with your connection.

If you haven't done so already please try a factory reset on the console. There's an option to keep installed games and apps and your saves will be safe on the Cloud. You should be able to start the reset process via the console Settings. Just make sure that you know the email/password for your account.

If you still have trouble after this though please try a wired Ethernet connection if possible. Otherwise a repair may be the only option. If you're unable to send it in to Xbox for repair then you may want to check your local gaming store to see if they offer a repair service.

However, if you like, what you can do from here is log in to https://support.xbox.com/contact-us and start a chat. Once you get to a fellow gamer ask to be escalated to a Microsoft Advocate. They are official support so would be able to let you know if there is anything beyond what we can offer here.

No I will not pay out of pocket because of a defect , this is also a big issue there's multiple reddit forums with the same problem.

This is a hardware issue I am not paying for repair. Microsoft should have enough business savvy and class to rectify this issue.

I can pay shipping and handling if needed but I am not paying to get it repaired.

They done said with USB it works. Wireless it doesn't stay connected.

Been dealing with this issue myself for 18 months and no solution. Everytime I call for supports I get the try USB cookie cutter stuff. I paid for wireless controller not USB. Thank god my PS5 controllers don't have this issue with my PS5. I was Xbox only up until Series X.

All I know is that the only console I own that has this problem is my Xbox Series X. I have no other issues with anything else. My phone, my roku, my ps5, my switch. Everything else connects to my network just fine. This is a problem the Xbox Series X has had since it came out.
