My series s says I can't save data, how do I fix it?

Follow this step and try again, please.

Press the Xbox button  on your controller to open the guide.

Select Profile & system > Settings > System > Storage.

On the Manage storage devices screen, select:

Clear local saved games. This deletes games saved to your hard drive, but they’ll still be saved to the cloud.

When I first launched the game on my Series S, it did the usual "agree with policy" and "user agreement" stuff. But nothing about save games or save data

After finishing a lot of the game, it would sync game data before loading to the main screen.

On my Series S, it would always do this.

But on my Series X, it did it once and never did it after that.

I'll try the Powercycle tricks and i'll let you know if it works.

What would you suggest:

1. Buying the game digitally in my One S so that both the game and data transfer easily to the Series S?

2. Buy the digital game on my Series S and have the saved data there once I log in?

I’ve been trying all the same things to fix my series X version too. At one point I suspected possible corrupted save data but after clearing everything I had I went back and it was to no avail.

Interestingly I also have a series S and when I play on that I have had no crashes or issues. I seriously think it’s something to do with the hardware in the series X.

This moderator is clearly copying and pasting old data from the Xbox One days. This troubleshoot doesn’t work on Xbox Series X or S consoles.

“Cloud saved games” isn’t an option anymore.

I can’t find how to force a cloud sync. I can’t play Starfield on my other console in another room because the data won’t sync.

What’s the point of cloud saving if it doesn’t actually save???
