In Windows PowerShell, type the following command and press Enter:

After repairing and resetting both gaming services and Sea of Thieves, I tried to open it and finally I get some info on the problem! “There is a missing or corrupt data file that is required for the game to run”. I will uninstall then reinstall the game and try again like you said.

In this case the best option is reinstall the game

Is never a good idea download standalone files from the internet. They could be infected, and no one here can transfer files to avoid that problem

Hello, thanks for your answer and for trying to help me, i use the microsoft store version and i am on windows 10, i tried everything from this article except reinstalling sea of thieve because my connection is really bad and it took me more than 2 day to install it. And i thought that taking the missing or corrupted file and using it by myself will be a good idea, but i don't find where the game file are, i found some thing on the C: disk but just empty file.
